Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion – Waves, Cliffs, and Sunrise Views
Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion is one of Sokcho’s most scenic coastal landmarks. Built on rocky cliffs overlooking the East Sea, the pavilion offers dramatic ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere.
The name “Yeonggeumjeong” is said to reflect the sound of waves hitting the rocks, which resembles the sound of musical instruments. At sunrise, the golden light over the ocean creates a particularly striking scene, making it a favorite spot for photographers.
